Baby Photographer Redcliffe
Newborn photography is so much more than capturing an image. It is about capturing an image that tells a story about the love you have for your newborn and growing family.
In my sessions I will capture all those special moments and features such as those squishy baby bumps and rolls, that cute button nose and those tiny fingers and toes.
The best time to photograph your newborn is between 5-10 days old. After 10 days newborns can develop colic and baby acne. They can also lose their womb-like behavior. We want them super-sleepy and curly. After all this has been their position for 9 mths.
Your baby’s comfort and safety is my number one priority, special care will be taken to ensure your baby is posed in a safe way. I keep my studio heated to the correct temperature 28 degrees to make sure your baby always feels comfortable and relaxed. Because it the studio is quite warm I advise you not to overdress.
Sessions are done in my home studio where you can take the time that you need to comfort, feed and prepare your baby as needed. The more relaxed parents are, the more relaxed baby is.
Sessions are best booked while you are still pregnant to avoid disappointment.
Being a newborn photographer takes patience and sessions do take time, it can be hard for little people to stay calm and occupied. When siblings and other family members are involved, I take the family shots first and then those people are free to leave. I have a local beaches, parks and a shopping center close buy. This is always a good way to occupy siblings until the session is finished.
Before your booking I will provide you with some tips on how to prepare baby. These tips can help relax your baby so they are real calm and sleepy for your session. We can discuss all the details of what to wear when you book. Plain and neutral colours are best with no logo’s.
